I've been reading The Passion by Jeanette Winterson and have been lost in daydreams of Venice, carnivals, casinos, and the elusive Queen of Spades. It's no surprise that WhatKatieDoes' re-imagining of the royals in a deck of cards appeals to me at the moment. I love that the new idols include "sweet and seductive Queen of Hearts, spoilt bling princess Queen of Diamonds, hip-hop King of Clubs and hard-rockin' King of Spades." Alas, the Queen of Spades is still out wandering cloaked in the darkest of nights.
